2016 - the idea of MOY is born in a small kitchen over a late night snack, a much needed debrief after a wine fueled night. Bergen, Norway.
June, 2017 - Kate Moss becomes the first to ever wear MOY in public. Kate Moss steps out in Notting Hill with Mario Sorrenti in our Sense of Sonder: Yellow Wallpaper prototype. The iconic moment is captured by British Vogue. London, UK.
July, 2017 - Rita Ora is seen the whole summer in her go-to pair of sunglasses, Sense of Sonder: Whiskey for one. She is spotted wearing the Sense of Sonder inside the studio, on brunches, on vacation and even in the water for some caves exploring. Carribean, West Indian.
September, 2017 - MOY officially launches in conjunction with Harvey Nichols, Knightsbridge. The festivities are kicked off by a month long pop up installation in the middle of the ground floor of Harvey Nichols. Fixture designed in collaboration with arkitekt, Jenya Anderson. London, UK.
July, 2018 - British Vogue picks MOY as the number one sunglasses brand to follow. Deeming them the must-have accessories for the summer. London, UK
September, 2018 - Lena Dunham sends us some love our way in Sense of Sonder: Mandarins and April Nymph: Red Sea Anemone. Los Angeles, USA
October, 2018 - MOY goes worldwide, our stockist list expands to new territories such as UAE, China, Korea, Japan, USA , Canada and St.Baths with the help of Rainbowwave. Worldwide
January, 2019 - Nathalie Emmanuelle and Jourdan Dunn take their respective Little Ripple: Seaweed Jungle and Sense of Sonder: Yellow Wallpaper on their holiday adventures and are hardly seen without them for the duration of their break. Thailand and Carribean, West Indian.
April, 2019 - Tina Kunakey marries Vincent Cassel in a private ceremony in Bidart and is spotted in Naked Heart: Desert Dawn on her wedding reception. Following Greta Bellamacina sporting a pair of blue Erudite: Night Dancer at her and Robert Montgomery’s wedding in 2017, making MOY sunnies quite the bona fide wedding staple. Bidart, France
August, 2019 - Eleanor Tomlinson is seen at Blenheim palace and around the country with Come Fly with Me: Dusty Jade and Sense of Sonder: Yellow Wallpaper. UK
September, 2019 - MOY follows the sun and delivers two pop up events with celebrations to follow in Ibiza, Spain and Bergen, Norway.
December, 2019 - MOY hosts its first press dinner event in collaboration with the Ned Club and Perrier Jouet. Attended by British Vogue, Tatler, Evening Standard, Susie Bubble, Mimi Xu, Henri amongst others. The night was filled with song, laughter and champagne. London, UK
2020 - we tread the new path in a covid-centric world by acting ethically and by contributing to the community where we can. We invite our muses and friends to show us how to style and wear MOY sunnies at home and in safe environments in order to inspire others to do the same.
