Lenses: Since AW21 MØY has incorporated bio-nylon lenses, gradually replacing our nylon lenses. Sourced from renowned french lens supplier, Essilor and made in Italy. The bio-nylon is currently consisting of 39% bio-based content and takes 5 years to biodegrade in a landfill. All our lenses offers 100% from harmful UVA and UVB rays, and has an additional AR coating that offered reduced glare and anti-scratch resistance. Since AW19 our lenses have a multilayered, anti-glare coating with an oleophobic and hydrophobic treatment reducing reflection and preventing dust from obscuring vision. 

Moy Atelier Sunglasses Acetate

Frame: MØY has since inception collaborated with Italian manufacturer, Mazzucchelli, whose cellulose acetate is known for its premium quality, lightweight feel and with the right amount of elasticity  With its long history of know-how of over 160 years and certified standards, it is the obvious choice for MØY to partner with.

In addition, MØY have since AW19 used bio-acetate (cellulose acetate made from natural plasticisers  from niche manufacturer specialised in eco-friendly materials, as part of our commitment to sustainability. 

Metal Moy Atelier

Hardware and detailing:  MØY’s distinctive light and flexible metal frames are all meticulously hand crafted from recycled stainless steel. The material’s thermal adaptability means the frames are adjustable to fit. Some collections have all their metal surfaces plated in either 12karat or 18karat gold for added luxury and refinement.
